Okay, it's 6.51 PM Melbourne time, 3.51 PM Singapore time right now. Seeing as that I just woke up from a good very-long sleep ( because I'm not sure how long I slept, like 3 hours? ), that all my family members are still sleeping ( due to a lack of sleep onboard the plane ), compounded with the fact that I am stuck with without internet access for now ( until I get the wireless-receiver from 小叔 later ), I'm blogging in OpenOffice right now. I'm also scared to play Warcraft/Dota because I tried it just now and my comp suddenly shut down and refused to start up for a while.
Right, so a proper update.
Saturday, 22nd November: Arranged with Davis and ChunYong to meet up at school at 10. Davis wanted to go for some BB stuff, I just wanted to hang out with friends before being deprived of them ( so to speak since I”m surrounded by family ) for 10 days. 10 was a good time I thought, because I was suffering from a general lack of sleep. This is because I slept at 12.30 on Saturday morning and woke up at 8 for something of grave national importance – helping ChunYong get Las in GC. This is important of course because my life is incredibly boring and more-or-less revolves around Dota, Audition, GrandChase and BattleOn. And copious amounts of going out with friends. But I enjoy these activities which are quite healthy ( as opposed to hobbies like vampire-slaying or participation in cross-species breeding programs or killing nuns ) so I guess it's okay.
Anyways, I went to sleep at 10.30, telling myself to wake up at 8. I figured ~10 hours of sleep would help compensate for the previous night's sleep debt. This of course ignores the fact that I have tremendous amounts of sleep debt that I've accumulated due to general school-crap. Falling asleep at 10.30 was easy after seeing Davis mention something about downloading RO and playing it.
At 6.45 AM my phone's message tone sounded. The strains of Chocobo Theme filled my ears. Muttering something that would make any Moogle's PomPom flare even brighter red ( Ku-EFFING-Po? ) I looked at my phone. The sender's id grinned happily at me. “Davis”. I remember a sudden dread coming over me. Had he fallen sick abruptly? Or had something dreadful happened? Otherwise why would Davis, who by all rights should have been sleeping like a 1.8m log, message me at 6.45
“Awake and bored...” the message read. I almost vomited blood in rage. Vomiting blood in rage is my usual reaction to anything before 7 AM so this is normal. I sent back a loving message: “WTF, you got problems leh” to which I got “Lol, did I wake you up?”. A short series of SMS exchanges occurred involving me telling Davis to watch anime, draw, write a song or achieve world peace. Apparently, I also told him to shave his 'pits if he was bored but I claim just-woken-up-and-therefore-understandably-delirious syndrome for this because I have no recollection of typing that. It was the work of Satan.
Couldn't sleep after that for a while, but eventually drifted back off to sleep around 7. Woke up around 8 and turned on the Asus ( because stupid me left the HP charger at Jo's house ) to charge my iProd. Called ChunYong to wake him up with a cheerful “morning sunshine!”. Aunt went out to buy chicken, so mum made me something resembling soft-boiled eggs. I actually do think it was soft-boiled eggs, but it looked weird. Like semi-soft-boiled eggs. Perhaps these eggs came from the aforementioned cross-species breeding program. In any case, I gulped them down, resisted the urge to vomit them out and spin my head 720-degrees ala The Exorcist and went to bathe and change. ChunYong smsed me to say he'd left the house shortly after, so I went to the wonderful bus stop to meet him.
Arrived at school around 10. As we were walking to school, we saw this figure walking towards the school from the Tampines/Bedok-heading bus stop. I initially wondered ( out loud ) if it was Joseph, but later decided that it was too fat to be him. As we neared the school, a sneaking suspicion came upon me that it was Davis. To confirm this, I shouted 'DAVIS!”. The figure looked at me. I could almost sense the -.- aura emanating from the figure. The figure reached the gates of school, stared at us briefly and then walked into the school without waiting.
This was the final confirmation that it was Davis. While normally I would have Nether Swapped, followed by a vicious three-man gank that would have left Davis K.Oed on the floor, I had of course arranged to meet up and this would have been a very ungentlemanly, unprofessional and unsporting thing to do.
The usual order followed. Played the crappy staff-room piano while waiting for the BB boys to finish their Council Meeting in the canteen to free up the canteen piano. We arrived at 10, the piano freed-up at 11.55. This piano was also promptly 'koped' by Davis.
Got bored around 1. So left for home with ChunYong who looked ready to fall asleep at the drop of a hat ( or pillow ) to play GrandChase. PvPed rather successfully, managing to almost break my keyboard in Survival mode in Elven Forest due to retarded people ganging up on me. I won ( mostly ) so it's okay.
Airport was boring. Not going to waste time on that. Terminal 3 is ugh.
The plane flight was pretty okay. Managed to grab First Class, so dinner was decent. Had some Caviar thingy ( bad choice, lobster was nicer ), some chicken broth clear soup, a salad ( I mostly ate the dressing, it was calorific ) and stir-fried beef with rice. Finished off with a warm mud cake with Haagen-Daz chocolatey ice-cream. As usual I ate a quarter to half of everything ( except the soup ). Ethiopians would have been outraged. Davis wouldn't have been surprised. Jo-Ann would have simply called me an 'anorexic bitch'. Watched Mamma Mia throughout. Second time, still love the movie. It's so feel-good with all the music. Then slept around 12 ( Singapore time ) until 3 ( still Singapore time ) for our descent into Melbourne. I don't remember much from the Melbourne Airport as I was suffering from gastric and a lack of sleep. The combination of these two factors led to me almost throwing up at the baggage-collection carousel. I heroically restrained myself though. If I do throw up, there will be pictures. And (mud) cake.
Arrived at 小叔's house. Fell asleep. Bet you never saw that coming. Went out for lunch at Plume's Chinese Restaurant for Dim Sum. Queue was unfittingly-long. Long-story-short, it was crap. Everything was pretty much sub-standard, and even my favourite Fried Prawn Dumplings with Mayonnaise Sauce was butchered to within an inch of its wonderful delicious crunchy life. The service was also questionable. The servers poured the chinese tea with much tea running down the spout. The only thing that would have made the moment picture-perfect would be a spider being washed out. In other words, I hated it. The food was disgusting. I shall recommend it to Jo when she comes over on Thursday.
Came back here and promptly konked out again. Woke up and now I'm blogging. This is probably the longest post I've done so far for ages, so be grateful. Will blog daily to keep my blog as regularly updated as possible. Said updates will come at night so do read about my wonderful stay in Melbourne.
As a pseudo-P.S thing, do drop emails to me if you want a souvenier and shizz. My phone's non-auto-roaming, and VodaFone AU is being a priss and won't let me connect. As such, my phone is assumed KIA. So emails are pretty much the only way of communicating. And my blog tagboard. This is not a shameless ruse to rejuvenate my dead tagboard.
