Ser Yang - "You know why now got so many trains?"
Me - "Why?"
Ser Yang - "Because it's PIG (Peak) hour."
Bryan - "Not funny leh."
Me - "Should I laugh or shiver? Oh well." [Shiverlaugh]

Sorry to all those people out there for not updating my blog. It was cruel of me to deprive you of your last desperate means of killing time. But it's ok, Linus is back here with a post. And he does not know how long it will be. Yes. Linus thinks talking in 3rd-person is really kind of fun. Yes he does.

Haven't had the urge/energy to blog these days, what with the school draining all my energy.

3rd January: Peer Leader Duties for the entire day.
4th~6th : Sec 1 Camp
8th~10th : CCA Trials
11th~13th : "Normal Schooling" By which I mean a black void that sucks away all my energy.

Truth be told, I didn't intend to blog. But as I sat down ( 5 minutes ago ) and on an urge, listened to A-Mei's Wo Yao Kuai Le, the blogging urge came back and I found the energy for it too. It's rare these days to have that, for me at least. Danial seems to be on a blogging spree.

*Digress*
Wo Yao Kuai Le has recently caught my interest. Although any VSCO Member would probably deem it impossible not to, seeing as the NYP Concert ( Which I will get to later ) played a heart-stirring rendition yesterday; we're playing it during practice, it's one in our repetoire of concert songs, and dear Felix and Wen Yuan delivered a heart-chilling, eardrum-searing version of that song. Today, I found out that it is possible to go almost one octave off-key. Fascinating

Nevertheless, I digress in my digression. A Double-Digress? Haha. Anyways, it proves a song that brings out the inner emo in all of us, that part of us that screams LOVE ME DARN IT LOVE ME!, yet we don't express it. Sad, yes, but looking at today's society, it's not surprising.

*/Digress* (Which means the end of my digression for all you coding-illiterates out there)

School's really taking a lot out of me. Recently, I've been coming home and literally collapsing on the bed and falling asleep immediately, only to wake up a good 3 ( or so ) hours later, to find a pile of homework waiting for me. Mind you, I wake up at 6, then I fall asleep in the afternoon at around...4~5 to wake up at 7 or 8. Then I have dinner, then do my homework, only to find myself unable to sleep because of my ever-rejuvenating afternoon siesta. Which means I sleep late, which means I have quite little sleep in the night, which leads to me coming home all exhausted and promptly falling asleep.

Vicious cycle, no?

Which is not to say that I don't enjoy myself in school lah. I'm just not used to my class. I mean, I've always been used to being sort of "important" in the class, and now my class is mostly filled with retards quite rowdy, so I just focus on studying.

Which is good, I suppose. But, I'm just not used to it. Which could explain my overflow of energy during CO ( we have practice almost everyday after school now ), leading to me becoming all hyper, grabbing some random person ( usually John, Yang En, Vincent, Wee Bian, Jing Qun or Amos ) and spinning them round and round repeatedly.

Nanyang Polytechnic concert yesterday was lovely. Maybe because I knew most of the songs ( Wu Ding, Wo Yao Kuai Le, Long Teng Hu Yue ) Or maybe it was the intermix of western and chinese ( Elvis Presley Medley ). Maybe it was the surprise performance of Matsuri, Happy Birthday and I Feel Good.

Which reminds me: Happy Belated 15th Anniversary to NYP! Especially the Chinese Orchestra =)

Their stage presence was wonderful though. Excellent use of lighting, what with a conventional table lamp attached to the music stand to illuminate the scores while the auditorium lights were switched off/dimmed. Created this wonderful "candlelight" ambience that complimented the song ( A Teresa Teng Medley ) very well. The surprise performance of Matsuri was remarkable too. And Zheng Lao Shi's even more surprising performance of Happy Birthday and I Feel Good was teh love.

Speaking of Zheng Lao Shi, he looked really nice yesterday in that outfit. So when he came in a casual t-shirt-and-jeans today, he looked rather plain. Oh well. Saw Wu Lao Shi too yesterday, and he's looking so much better. I was quite surprised at how relieved I felt yesterday, because I'm not that close to Wu Lao Shi. But he's a wonderful teacher, and I can't wait for him to come back. But I think that would mean Zheng Lao Shi would have to leave.

Darn...Any way to have both?

Ooo..It's late now, church tomorrow. Sleep now.
