Mervin - "The Sec 1s are damn cute lah."Me - "How cute can they be...I mean, they're-" [Sees Russel] "OH MY GOD!!! SO. CUTE!"Mervin - "Told you right."Me - "Shutuphe'sminegetlost."Mervin - "And I think Ze Qing's going CO."Me - "I'll never miss another practice if he goes to the cello/bass section."It should be a sin to be as cute as Russel or Ze Qing. Which somehow or another led to the comparison between Ze Qing and Ye Qing ( Mervin ) with the none-too-surprising result.
Haha...Just remembered the "House Rules" that Dexter and I invented.
Mr Siow - "Welcome to the Victorian Family. Remember, every family has its own house rules."Me - "Mervin's one is to be paedophilic."Dexter - "And to have dot dot dot all over their face."Mervin - "Dexter you die." [Chases Dexter]Anyway, back to blogging about the camp.
The Campfire was great! Although Kwang Yi and Firdaus' emcee'ing was slightly debatable, I guess it's what they could come up with on such short notice.
Started off with the Class Cheers. Not surprisingly, I didn't like any of the cheers. Almost all the classes simply took a Victorian Cheer and replaced the VS with their class or something similar. 1G's was original, but it was [c]rap. And we all know I hate Rap. Another class, 1C I think, did an original cheer, but I couldn't hear them half the time. And the half of the time I could hear them, I couldn't understand them so it's all bad.
But to expect a class to come up with a cheer, a
good cheer isn't easy
lah (Look, Wai Wan,
SINGLISH ). It'd be nice to see it though.
Had the CIC Number Game thing where a lot of stuff from the entire Alpha-Numeric series flashed onto the screen and the monitors of each class had to memorize and recite only the Capital Letters. None of the classes scored above 5 points. CIC pwnz0rz Sec 1s LolX Nubz.
Then we had the ever-popular game of "Guess The Number". Although I suppose a more appropriate name would be "
Don't Guess The Number" since the aim of the game is to, you know, avoid guessing it.
In any case: The teachers played the game. Ms Yong won/lost ( depending on how you wanna look at it ) the 1st round. However, they cruelly ignored my screams of "BANANA DANCE!" for her forfeit, and instead made her tell a cold joke.
Ms Yong - "Which fruit is the strangest fruit?"Me - [Rolls eyes]Sec 1s - [Shouts out several fruits]Ms Yong - 'Wrong! It's the orange. Know why?"Sec 1s - "No."Ms Yong - "I also don't know. Strange right?"[Stunned silence]Me - "Oh my god..."Mr Robin Peter Hamilton won/lost next and proceeded to tell a joke about Michael Owen. That was actually funny.
Then we had the Soccer Commentating thing for the teachers. For the 1st time in my life, I willingly screamed
GOAL! instead of being all apathetic per usual.
All the teachers ( except for Ms Kara Tay ((LOL!)) and Ms Melissa Lim ) took a shot at commentating. Ms Sheikha's and Mdm Farrah's ones were undoubtably the funniest. And it was in Malay, yet I still laughed. Danial attempted to translate for me, until he collapsed in racuous laughter. Still, I understood enough to laugh my ass off.
Did the Banana Dance for the Sec 1s to a myriad of reactions ranging from stunned to bursting out with laughter.
Ahhh...Dinner now. Blog again later, or tomorrow. Which is as well, I don't feel quite so "bloggy" now and I know I'm definitely not infusing enough emotion into this post.
