Me - "Of course. Angus is teh <3iest> Emersius: Besides you, you mean.
First ever quote taken from my tagboard.
Aha. After another almost-hiatus, I have dragged myself back into the blogging realm to amaze, astound and alarm you all with a 2000 plus plus PLUS word post. Hopefully. I doubt I shall be actually counting, that is, copy+paste into OpenOffice Writer and word-count, because I am not that desperate. Of course, my level of desperation could rise steadily as the days pass, culminating in a last futile attempt to save my blog.
On an unrelated note that I have the sudden uncontrollabe desire to add: The day the FBI/CIA cracks down on my blog will be the day I shall watch my words. Then again, if Xiaxue can get away with what she writes, then my "vulgarity" surely passes the vulgaradar.
Back to the blog.
So, 2007 is upon us. Like I've come to expect, the countdown fell far short of expectations. Thanks to my digestive system disagreeing with something I ate, I had to miss the obviously-superior countdown at church. I say superior, because you get to spend it with God. And we all know God pwns all.
But before we look into the crystal ball to see the future, we must look into the past because I broke the crystal ball and I need to find my scotch tape. Hur hur, not funny Linus.
2006 saw me undergoing a change in academic-attitude. Not to the point where I would, you know, do my homework ASAP. Of course, seeing as that the typical VS attitude is to simply -not- do the homework at all, I suppose I'm somewhat "slightly etter."
However, slightly better than crap is still quite bad the last time I checked. If "mediocre" was a platform, I need a very very tall ladder to reach it.
So therefore, as one out of my 15 resolutions, I will change my academic-attitude for the better. Hopefully.
And I refuse to call it New Year Resolutions. Somehow, it just has the connotation that you make it on New Year and the next day...Poof, gone. No. A resolution should be for the entire year.
Speaking of resolutions, here's my list.
[Resolution List]
1. Be close(r) to God 2. Pray and attend church more often. I must stop pon'ing 3. Develop a positive and healthy attitude towards studying 4. Do my job as the ELDDS Vice-Chairman well 5. (Hope this comes true) Do my job as the [Insert CO Committee-Post] well. 6. Get an average of 75 and above, preferably 80+ 7. Treat my juniors well 8. Draw more often. There's creativity flowing within me peeps. 9. Figure out what to do with the rest of my life 10. Watch more Anime ( Death Note and Bleach ) 11. Start reading the newspaper. My "Current Affairs" are "so last year" 12. Get closer to my family. 13. Make more friends 14. Get back to playing the Piano? 15. Learn Japanese
Yeah, good luck with the last one.
You know...Well, actually, you -don't- know, so I'll let you know. Anyways, Hin Kai and I were talking on the bus to the Maris Stella High School concert ( which sucked massive balls for your information. Kou Dis are also creepy ) when I was suddenly struck by the insatiable urge to ask who's the future comm? So Hin Kai, being all Hin Kawaii and stuff, decided to play Yes/No questions.
"Am I the chairman?" "No" "Am I the vice-chairman?" "No" "Am I even in the comm?" "Errrr...Not yet."
Truth be told, after hearing that, I was quite disappointed lah. I didn't expect to possibly vie/vye for the Chairman position, that's for Yang En and Vincent to go fight over. But Vice-Chairman would have been a nice post...And now, I have to entertain the possibility that I might not be in the Committee.
I kinda thought it was a given that I would be in the commitee. Seeing as that out of the other...errr....candidates...only a few really do show what they have to contribute. People like Vincent Ooi and Yang En ( to name two ). But now...Argh...I guess the saying "Don't count your chickens before they hatch" is sorta true.
And I hope Delson doesn't want to keep the SL position. Then it'll go to me...or Michael. Hmmm...I must eliminate Michael.
Then there's always the question of who likes the CCA, who loves the CCA, and who loves the CCA. Is there a difference between liking the CCA because of the atmosphere, the culture and the people...and liking the CCA itself? I thought that they're sort of connected somehow. But if I am to answer honestly, I would say I love CO because of the people.
And now, for the Future.
Seeing as I currently hold ELDDS Vice-Chairman, am a Triple Red Shirt and take Literature, this should prove to be a fun albeit tiring year. I foresee breakdowns and PMSing, hopefully these don't happen. Often. Or at all. Because a grumpy Linus is not a nice Linus.
..Ugh, it's 10+...I'll...probably blog...Well, I'd say tomorrow, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. Tomorrow's a busy busy day, and we are busy busy people. Yes, we are Singaporeans, we run the daily rat race. Whoo hoo.
And of course, a Christmas Present to all of you:
