Me - "Ohmygosh, I wanna be Cross-Eyed too lah, so cool! Ohmygosh!"Alphonsus - [O.o]Yang En - "Mad."Me - [Cackles]I'm back from LTC, which is a common misconception that LTC is fun.
In which case, you are right.
Well half-right.
It's half fun, half a bitch.
My Squad:
Danial
Me
Shervin
Nicholas Cheng
Zhi Yuan
Justin Ho
Walter
Nawawi
Wei Jing
First day did not get off to a good start. The instructors were pretty damn fierce, especially Sir Choon Meng who has uber-creepy
LARGE eyes, like a frog, only scarier. Much scarier. *Shiver*
Arrived at an incredibly ulu place and found out it was Mawai. And damn, I tell you, when I saw how...natural that place looked, I was like "Oh...Crap."
Almost the entire place was made out of wood, the dining area, longhouse/briefing area, the bunk areas. And it looked ready to collapse. Which ironically, it did, but let's not jump da gun. Guns are bad to jump over. They tend to fire and you suddenly start speaking in a voice 2 octaves higher. Or if you're female, you just feel like your ass is on fire.
Developed a really nasty rash, or allergy, I'm still not sure, but it went down as we did the Water Obstacle Courses. My Mini-Group consisted of me, Justin Ho, Danial, Yang En and Wilnard. Danial and I ( as well as Nawawi ) were put in charge of carrying the eggs which we're obviously not suppose to break.
Water Obstacles were pretty easy, except for the beam balance. That one everybody fell off.
My egg slipped out of my (apparently) unzipped pocket and drowned.
Danial's egg was smashed.
Nawawi's egg...died.
Then we played Volleyball in this ...padi-field-esque thing. Which is just an euphenism for Pile-Of-Shit. At least, that's what it feels like when you walk in it, I kid you not.
After that was the Squad Challenge for Water Obstacles. Squad 5 went first, and they were hilarious. Weng Keong kept falling down, but he's such a good sport and everything, so yeah, bless him. Syukuri got halfway through the course ( and partially emasculated ) before he tumbled off too.
All in all, Squad 5 took 20 minutes.
Then it was our squad's turn.
Since we were smart / humji , we decided to cross the first section ( at least ) by sliding our butts across the pole. Turns out it's a lot harder than it looks, so I can see why Weng Keong was having such a hard time. Danial said it was easy, but Danial's all uber-creepy so I would take his words with a handful of salt. He fell in some...halfway through the thing, so I ended up being the first in line, with Nawawi behind me.
Zhi Yuan, Justin Ho and Walter all apparently fell off at some point during the course. Truth be told, I was more concerned with helping Nawawi across the toughest section than watching them fall. Finished up with a VS Power cheer with a timing of 15 minutes.
Had dinner at the dinner hall, which I simply must rant about.
The bloody thing was damn shaky lah. And there were a ridiculous amount of flies.
Sang along to one of the Sirs' guitars, after which we went to sleep.
Speaking of sleeping, CO Open House tomorrow at 8.
And I need to sleep. I'll finish this post up tomorrow or something. Hopefully.
