Me - "Hell yeah capital punishment should be reinstated in Singapore! DECAPITATE THAT ERASER-STEALING FAG!"
Woo, finally got the internet to work on my comp. It's slow though, so that eliminates GunBound'ing and DotA'ing. Allows to blog in peace though, well, relatively in peace.
Anyways, today was a bitch. I swear my hotel room is haunted.
Went out in the morning to the Royal Botanical Gardens near my uncle's apartment. It was seriously seriously freezing cold, the wind was really sharp and bites into your skin. Before long, I felt my unprotected fingers and ears start to hurt. Owie.
Passed by the Shrine of Remembrance on the way. Saw the monument erected in the honour of those who had sacrificed themselves in World War 2. At first, I didn't really feel anything as I read the message engraved in the huge pillar. Then I looked up and saw 4 bronze soldiers half-bent and with a board on their back on the top of the pillar. When I stepped back, I saw a pair of feet on the board sticking up. Felt something really strange then, a mixture of sadness and anger.
The Botonical Gardens was a waste of time. Oh sure, it was beautiful and all. Would have been able to better appreciate it if it wasn't so damn cold.
Went for lunch at a Dim Sum restaurant. Easily,
the best Dim Sum I've tasted, ever. Going back there one of these days to eat dinner. When we go back, we can order the Shark's Fin =3. After all, the name of the restaurant IS Shark Fin Restaurant...
Shopping later. I'm not a shopping person, so I got really really really bored. After everything was over, we missed the stupid Tourist Shuttle and had to pay an exorbitant price for the bloody Tram fare. $2.80 for a trip less than 10 minutes long! HOW OUTRAGEOUS IS THAT!
These few days, whenever I wake up, one thought hits me almost immediately. "
I'm not good enough for VIP." And that really really hurts like hell. I thought I had accepted it, but apparently I haven't. A lot of my best friends (Adeeb, Bob etc etc) have gotten through for the Interview and will probably make it all the way. All the best to them! It's sad to say goodbye though. Fortunately, we still have 1 semester left together.
On the bright side, since I know I am definitely staying in VS now, I can fully concentrate on what's going on in VS. Hoping to become a Peer Leader and/or Camp Instructor, not to mention holding high positions in my CCAs ( especially ELDDS ). Oh and of course not, excelling in studies. If I work hard and score well for O's, I'll still be able to get into VJC.
Assuming of course, that I still want to go VJC at that point in time.
